Why women and men are different

1. God created all of us as individuals with special
abilities and talents.

2. Women use language, just like men do, to make
points and solve problems.

3. When men talk about problems, they are generally
looking for solutions.

4. Women tend to talk about their feelings in order to
sort things out, as a means toward eventually feeling
better. Women feel a need to share and express their
feelings. This is how women merge with their partner.
Talking is part of sharing -- sharing their feelings
and sharing their thoughts without solutions and
without being judged.

5. Men only let one thing occupy their minds at one
time, and are capable of unknowingly shutting
everything else out.

6. Men tend to stay more focused, having more
persistence, and determination in important things,
which in turn makes them strong-minded.

7. Men show their love differently than women. Men
tend to believe that they are showing their love by
doing things for and with their partners. A man shows
his love by spending time with his partner and doing
things with her.

8. Women, on the other hand, show their love by
discussion and personal sharing. This is the kind of
thing women do with each other. There is a heavy
emphasis on verbal communication. Emotional intimacy
is the main theme. Love is demonstrated by being
honest about feelings, being open and talking about
the relationship.

9. Women want a man who can be genuine, open, honest
and considerate. This doesn't necessarily come easily
for most men.

10. For men, words have nothing to do with relating.
Action is the name of the game. This is one reason why
a sexual problem can be so difficult for guys.

11. Why do men hate shopping? It's an evolutionary
thing. Men hunt. Women gather. Men just want to go
out, kill it, and bring it back.

12. Psychology professor Richard Haier of the
University of California -Men have nearly 6.5 times
the amount of gray matter related to general
intelligence compared with women, whereas women have
nearly 10 times the amount of white matter related to
intelligence compared to men. In human brains, gray
matter represents information processing centers,
whereas white matter works to network these processing
centers.

13. Co-author and neuropsychologist Rex Jung of the
University of New Mexico - Men tend to do better with
tasks requiring more localized processing, such as
mathematics. Jung said, while women are better at
integrating and assimilating information from
distributed gray-matter regions of the brain, which
aids language skills.

14. For men, differences of opinion ought to be worked
out via logical arguments and courts of law; for
women, differences should be worked out by talking to
each other, considering each other's viewpoints, and
understanding each other's needs.

15. Men: 93% have a justice focus; 7% have a care
focus; 0% have justice absent; 38% have care absent
(62% have some care). Women: 62% have a care focus;
38% have a justice focus; 23% have justice absent; 8%
have care absent (92% have some care).
16. Intimacy is scary to men but a source of security
to women. Autonomy is scary to women but a source of
pride to men.

17. Males identify themselves and their success by
their accomplishments; females identify themselves by
their relationships.

18. Men see power as the ability to control others. To
males "being responsible" in a relationship means not
doing what you want to do out of consideration of
others. To females "being responsible" means doing
what others are counting on you to do, regardless of
what you want to do. There is a difference.

19. Men spend money on the things they want first, and
women spend money on the things they need first.'
